Dear Citizens,

Distinguished Visitors,

I am deeply honored to have assumed my duties as Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Thessaloniki as of October 1, 2026.

As the Consulate General in Thessaloniki—which also proudly assumes responsibility for the birthplace of the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk—our primary goal is to provide better service to you, our valued citizens and compatriots, and to stand by your side in every matter where you need us. Working together with our Commercial Attaché’s Office, contributing to the development of our commercial relations with Greece and promoting our country in the best possible way will also be among the Consulate General’s top priorities throughout my tenure.

I would like to note that I would be delighted if, while visiting the Atatürk House—whose restoration was completed in 2025—you would also stop by our Consulate General, which you can consider your second home and whose doors are always open, to share your views, expectations, and suggestions in person.

In this regard, you may reach us during business hours (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) at +30 2310 965070-73; for emergencies outside business hours and on official holidays, please contact us at +30 697 026 0565 or via email at consulate. thessaloniki@mfa.gov.tr. You can follow the cultural events we will be hosting in the coming period through our social media accounts (Facebook and X) and honor us with your participation.

Throughout my term, I will strive to live up to the high office and responsibilities entrusted to me. I would also like to express my gratitude in advance for the support you will provide to me and to the staff of our Consulate General, who are carrying out their duties with dedication.

On behalf of all our staff and myself, I greet you with respect and affection.

Erdem Kutlu

Consul General
